Living in C-19 World: Family/Kids
This can be an ideal time to make special memories with your children and help them learn things beyond their everyday classroom subjects–a time to help them spend hours doing or learning something that they love or are curious about.
It can also be an especially challenging time for parents and other adults for many reasons--severe restrictions on in-person support and socializing, few options for out-of-home activities, sudden changes in everyone’s routine, cancellation or postponement of important plans, working from home for the first time, financial constraints, fears of job loss, health worries, and others.
From Joy Novak Rosson, a teacher from the U.S. with over 10 years of classroom experience and many years of homeschooling experience, we bring you a list that she created, posted publicly on Facebook and encouraged people to share. The links offer a huge range of activities for learning and enjoyment. Some are normally free, while others are being generously provided for free by organizations during this crisis.
There are activities designed for people from birth to adults, preschoolers to post-secondary learners. Among the many activities designed for children and teens, we’re sure that many will be educational and enjoyable for adults of all ages!
Get comfortable, explore, learn and enjoy!
